Synopsis of The Eminence in Shadow anime:

Great heroes and evil villains are the kind of characters people long to be, but not Sid Kagenou. He aspires to be the real mastermind behind it all, pulling the strings and making his machinations drive the whole story.

In his previous life in Japan, Sid Kagenou was unable to achieve his goals. But now, reborn in a world of magic, he will show the true eminence of the shadow!

As Sid pretends to be just another mafia character, he recruits members for his fake organization, Shadow Garden, in an effort to bring down the mysterious cult that lurks in the shadows. Through many improvisations, Sid leads his organization in an attempt to take the place of the infamous Diabolos Cult.
